Working strongly from her intuition the designs of Melanie Rozema are founded in her search for aesthetic innovation, led by her fascination for “the uncommon” and abstraction. Her starting point is often a collage or still-life of materials which evolves into final products that are constructed with great attention for detail and tactility. In the spring of 2014 she started exploring the boundaries of her personal work, and translated her natural working method in creating autonomous textile pieces.
Melanie Rozema lives and works in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
